Prior to joining the firm in 1986, Mr. Schwartz served as general counsel
to a major New Jersey real estate developer, actively involved in negotiating
contracts, obtaining zoning approvals, and zoning and contract litigation.
Mr. Schwartz currently serves as the attorney for the Borough of North
Plainfield’s Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. Mr. Schwartz also practices in the firm’s business and commercial litigation and collection practice. He has extensive experience
in representing creditors in bankruptcy courts. His combined knowledge of
real estate and creditors’ rights law allows him to successfully litigate
fraudulent real estate conveyance actions on behalf of creditors. Mr. Schwartz has
extensive experience drafting and reviewing leases and contracts,
and represents developers before numerous zoning and planning boards
in New Jersey. Mr. Schwartz has handled many family law matters, including divorce, support, custody, domestic violence complaints and division of property.
